National Volunteer Week is an opportunity to recognize the impact of volunteer service and the power of volunteers to tackle society’s greatest challenges, to build stronger communities and be a force that makes a difference in their communities and the world. At Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven, this is indeed a very special week as it is the time for recognizing the work of our valuable volunteers: tutors, board members, office staff and fundraisers. Staff are emailing all our tutors expressing our sincere gratitude to them for being the backbone of our program and make sure that all of them get a LV tote bag.
