Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven Celebrates Excellence in Education Award

We are thrilled to share an exciting milestone in our journey at Literacy Volunteers of Greater New Haven. On April 10, 2024, at the 128th Annual Meeting, Dinner, Awards & Silent Auction held by the Midstate Chamber of Commerce at the Aqua Turf Club, our organization was honored with the prestigious Excellence in Education Award.

Through partnerships with adult learners, tutors, and community organizations we enable individuals and families to achieve educational, career and quality life goals. Along with all our partners our vision is a future in which the power of literacy enables all adults to thrive in their communities.

The Excellence in Education Award is a testament to the impact of our programs. By improving literacy among adults, we’re not just teaching people to read and write; we’re opening doors to better employment opportunities, enriching families, and strengthening the fabric of our community.

This recognition by the Midstate Chamber of Commerce inspires us to push forward, to innovate, and to continue expanding our reach. We are more motivated than ever to continue our partnerships with adult learners, tutors, and the communities we serve.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to the Midstate Chamber of Commerce for this honor, and to every volunteer, supporter, and friend who has joined us in this rewarding journey. As we celebrate this achievement, we are reminded of the importance of our mission and the profound impact of community support in making a difference.

Together, let’s continue to make a difference in the lives of individuals.

Thank you, Midstate Chamber, for this wonderful recognition!
