Lou Perno, Executive Director of Literacy Volunteers of Greater Haven, has been awarded the Stellar Legacy Award from the Greater New Haven Chamber. The award recognizes an individual with 15 years of professional service in the Greater New Haven nonprofit sector who has served as a role model, mentor and leader extraordinaire.
Lou will be recognized at the 6th Annual Nonprofit Stars Align Breakfast, to be held on November 17, 2022 from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Omni New Haven Hotel at Yale.
This event, free to the business community, is part of the Big Connect, Connecticut’s premier business expo.
Lou has spent 45 years in the social service non-profit sector, five at Literacy Volunteers, and has been on the adjunct faculty of Gateway Community College for 18 years. He is a leader, mentor, friend, and role model to the Literacy Volunteers team.
